约定俗成吧，很多没有道理可讲
比如国家里面，只有美英两国是the u.s. 和the u.k，其他国家貌似都不带the，当然也英美国名不是专有名词有关。 iOS fly ~

一般都是the Yangzte River

有点奇怪，从没听说过the china, the Japan, the Germany, the Italy 之类的说法 iOS fly ~

法语就要加定冠词了，La China， la France, le Vietnam。
英语这几个地方加the，多半还是因为复数。比如netherland本身是指低处的土地，pays-bas。所以the Netherlands其实也是你说的“非专有名词转化成专有名词”的情况。

Philippine本身也是形容词，源自Las Islas Filipinas，指这片岛屿都是在“西班牙国王腓力统治之下”，因此在习惯上都加定冠词。
