Preliminary data suggests that Wii sales in America last week were over 150,000 units, while PSP Go had a slow start Preliminary VGChartz data is showing that Wii hardware sales were over 150,000 units for the week ending 3rd October 2009 - about double the weekly rate that Wii has been selling during August and September and bringing Wii back to the levels it was selling at this time last year. Some retailers saw as much as a tenfold increase in weekly sales and many retailers have seen sales gradually increasing as the week has progressed, which bodes well for next week and beyond.
PS3 sales increased slightly from last week, another 85,000 units sold, while Xbox360 saw sales drop to 70,000 units following the ODST bump last week.
PSP Go saw only around 30,000 units sold last week - total PSP sales up significantly on previous weeks but still disappointing compared to the recent PS3 slim launch.
Keep checking back during the week as more data comes in and we arrive at finalised figures.
