And what is improper usage? If you do actually use it properly isn't effective for the medical personnel? I mean it's a mask I don't see why it's that complicated to use properly. Any barrier between your hands and your mouth and nose has to be good. And they say it works best for sick people, well what about the asymptomatic incubation period? Would it not make sense to have the entire public wear masks since you never know who is contagious?
The masks might not be 100% effective but they will definitely protect against some of the virus containing water droplets. China has the most experience with the virus out of anyone and they are having their citizens wearing masks. They might be corrupt but they're not stupid. I just don't believe that it's less safe to wear a mask.
